Apple orchards to visit this fall

Apple Orchard

It’s that time of year! Round up the family and head to an orchard to spend a day filled with New England traditions. Whether you like your apples McIntosh red or Granny Smith green, these orchards will have something for you.

  1. The Apple Place. This East Longmeadow orchard features a picturesque location with more than 50 varieties of apples. Stop by the bakery and creamery to satisfy all your cravings for cider donuts, pies and more. In addition to apples and treats, this orchard offers craft fairs, live music and pop-up shops! For more information, check out their website: http://www.theappleplace.net/.

  1. Brookfield Orchards. Located in North Brookfield, this orchard is full of activities for the whole family. With mazes, the Harvest Craft Fair and the country store, you’ll find something for everyone. Stop by and you’ll be thrilled by the delicious local treats and the friendly faces you’ll encounter here.  Find out more at: http://www.brookfieldorchardsonline.com/.

  1. Dowse Orchards. “America’s best crunchin’ apples since 1778” can be found in Sherborn, MA. This hidden gem has been family-owned and operated for centuries. You’ll find coveted fresh cider, pumpkins and a greenhouse! Check out their pick-your-own fields or the farm stand. Take a look at their website for more information: http://dowseorchards.com/.

Take pride in supporting local farmers as you celebrate your fall traditions – wherever you may live in Massachusetts.
